Small, part time contractor in the upstate rural NY area. I am a full time chemistry/physics teacher in PA - so contracting has always been a part-time side gig for me with full-time construction summers. I have been doing this since college started in 1990 with a little time off in the late 90's when I worked after teaching days at a hardware store and on a Nashville freight dock running a tow-motor/forklift loading trucks from 4pm to 10pm and all weekends. Needless to say, I was happy to get back to building things after those years! Contracting these days is primarily kitchen and bathroom remodels for the larger projects and lots of smaller projects like decks and porches and siding and window installations and (and..and..) I also do one-off handyman jobs when the opportunity comes up. I got started with YouTube with inspiration from Ron Paulk and all the contractors out there with tool trailers and how-to's! This is my way to say thanks and add to the conversation.
