Also known as @veenaraga Radhika Baskar is an accomplished Veena artist of traditional Carnatic music with improvisation skills. Veena is an ancient musical string instrument from the Indian Subcontinent. She started learning to play Veena at the age of nine and honed her musical skills over many years of training under the tutelage of eminent teachers. Her foremost Guru is late, Vainika Vidwan Mysore Sri C.Krishnamurthy. Her performances, both as a solo musician and as a member of musical ensembles, have placed her on prestigious platforms in several Indian states and international locations. With her home in Canada, she has won the Marty's music award for the established instrumental category. She is trying her best to preserve and spread this ancient art of playing the Veena. Besides performing classical music, she performs fusion music, Indo-Jazz fusion along with a band. You can listen to some of her original fusion compositions on all major streaming platforms.
