The Adventist Archives, more formally known as the Office of Archives, Statistics, and Research (ASTR) brings together the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s past and present in order to inspire for the future. ASTR is located at the world headquarters of the General Conference (GC) of Seventh-day Adventists just outside of Washington, D.C., in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA. As our name indicates, we serve as the official records center and historical archives of the world headquarters. We also conduct research projects for the General Conference administration; evaluate General Conference departments and agencies; produce the denomination's Yearbook and Annual Statistical Report; and provide other information on the suite of websites accessible from www.adventistarchives.org.
