Formed in London in 1987, three piece Guitar Gangsters took their musical references from the first wave of punk and produced a debut album in 1988 for Link Records (later to become Captain Oi!). With influences of The Ruts, The Boys, Buzzcocks and The Saints the band quickly established a following and came to the attention of Stiff Little Fingers who invited Guitar Gangsters to open for them on their comeback UK tour of 1989. In the mid 90s the band found their name had spread across mainland Europe where they have for many years enjoyed both gigging and recording success. With a catalogue of 10 studio albums and various singles the band continue to produce new material and win new fans. The most recent album “Sex & Money” was released in 2018 and was recorded in New York with Ramones producer Daniel Rey.
