The Siemens Centre of Excellence in Manufacturing set-up at National Institute of Technology is envisaged to provide "skill excellence" for students, practicing professionals and manufacturing industries across the region. The primary focus of the centre is to create a robust eco-system of technical education through its experience in industrial products development and services . The various learning tracks designed by Siemens , which would be jointly certified by Siemens and NIT-T can be practiced out by engineering , polytechnic and ITI students of any institute in the region of knowledge enrichment and enhanced opportunity for placement .Besides skill development courses, the centre shall offer consultancy and R&D services to industries at various labs of COE. This CoE has 12 Labs and spread over 20,000 Sqft of building space.
