Jacob and the Everests consists of 5 Delft musicians with a shared passion for telling stories through music. Since 2016 they use their songs to share travel stories, ancient myths, societal views and dreams with their audience. This creates an intimate listening experience, with the stories at its core.
The band is formed around singer-songwriter Pim Jacobs, who uses his warm voice to pull the audience into his tales. He also provides musical support on guitar and banjo. Multi-intrumentalist Joris Triepels plays (amongst others) everything which has keys, and leads the audience into the right atmosphere on his accordion or piano. Guitarist Ruurd Jaarsma skilfully provides tasteful and subtle yet essential additions on his electric guitar. Lennart van Duist uses his bass to build a solid foundation for the stories, while drummer Halbe Mulder ensures a smoothly running story.
