On 13 July 2025, the Queensland Government announced a Commission of Inquiry into the CFMEU and Misconduct in the Construction Industry. The Commission is independent from the Government and any other entity or person. Its duty is to inquire in an impartial manner into claims of misconduct related to the CFMEU and construction industry and make recommendations to the Queensland Government based on what it finds.
