Elena Ostrovsky started her operatic career in St Petersburg (Russia) where she graduated from the Rimsky Korsakov Conservatory. After moving to the United States, she performed at some of the most famous American opera venues. She made her major American debut in “Francesca da Rimini” by Rachmaninoff on the stage of Carnegie Hall with soloists from Bolshoi Opera House and the legendary vocal coach of the Bolshoi Liya Mogilevskaya.
Later she performed at Lincoln Center’s Merkin Hall Stravinsky opera Buffa Mavra and Tchaikovsky’s duet on Romeo and Juliet and opera scenes from Italian and Russian opera in Avery Fischer Hall. Ostrovsky sang on recital tours in Canada, France, Russia, Austria, Italy, Poland, Hungary, and Taiwan. She has participated in the opera gala “Voice and Light” in Monterrey, Mexico.
Currently she sings mostly jazz and art songs.
