I'm a Zainichi-Korean/British actor, singer and lyrical translator living in NYC.
Zainichi-Korean means my Korean family relocated to Japan before WW2 due to the colonization of Korea by Japan. I was born to a 4th generation Korean mother and a British father, and grew up in London until I was 10, lived in Osaka for 2 years, then Kobe for 7. I moved to Tokyo to attend Waseda University at 19. I studied abroad in Seoul, South Korea when I was 17, and also at the University of Pennsylvania when I was 21. I am fluent in English, Japanese and Korean.
My professional debut was as Angel in the official Japanese production of RENT in 2008, and I have performed in the official Japanese productions of RENT, Next to Normal, Rocky Horror Show, Dracula, Bare, Last Five Years (in concert), Take Me Out, to name a few.
In 2013 I obtained a Artist Visa and migrated to the US to further my career. My dream as a performer is to bridge the countries I am from.
