Derek Buddemeyer (budd-ē-myer) is a hard rock guitarist/instrumental musician born in Kansas City, Missouri. Musical influences include George Lynch (Dokken/Lynch Mob), Warren DiMartini (RATT), Reb Beach (Winger), and Vito Bratta (White Lion). Although his roots are heavily saturated in a tangled web of 80's/90's glam-metal...he also incorporated a heavier sound to his playing influenced by bands such as Anthrax, Overkill, Testament, Metallica, & Megadeth. Throughout the years, Derek has developed his own style of melodic hard rock, filled with edgy, pop-metal guitar rhythms, emotional soloing, and the occasional piano/synth-based ballad. Derek is currently working as a studio musician, music producer, and music app developer for use with iPhone/iPad devices with a new album due for release soon.
