Makeshift Battlefield is a solo alternative electronic music project founded in Michigan by a songwriter/artist in 2005.
Using synthesizers, software, pianos, organs, drum machines and primarily self-made samples, MB has produced hundreds of songs, spanning fifteen unreleased albums. These songs have rarely been performed live and only a few physical albums have ever been produced. MB has published music on this YouTube Channel since 2008, and it exists as one of the few places where a small audience of family and friends can listen to this music.
In 2018, Makeshift Battlefield began to upload the back catalog of unreleased albums, starting with 'Marches Into Battle' recorded in 2005. Releases of each album are forthcoming, staggered with new releases into the current year.
These songs offer an intimate and unrefined insight into the creative passion of an outsider artist's life through heartbreak, loss, spiritual crisis, addiction and recovery. Thank you for listening.
