Composer, arranger and trombonist Dave Panichi studied composition under Bob Brookmeyer, Manny Albam and Don Sebesky. His compositions and arrangements have been performed or recorded by the the Buddy Rich Big Band, Village Vanguard Orchestra, Blood, Sweat & Tears, James Morrison, Ten Part Invention, the Jazzgroove Mothership Orchestra, the Sydney AllStar Big Band, and by the Danish Radio Big Band. Across four decades, Dave Panichi has contributed greatly to the jazz scene worldwide and continues to do so now, as composer, arranger, teacher and musician.
Dave Panichi’s career as a premiere international trombonist has seen him work with jazz luminaries as diverse as Sarah Vaughan, Blood, Sweat and Tears and Frank Sinatra. In a wide range of roles from session musician to lecturer, Dave has won audiences from Warrangatta to New York with his broad stylistic range, consummate musicianship and unique performing style.
