Brooklyn based Mike Delgado grew up with the likes of Kenny Dope and Todd Terry, DJing in the early 80’s. Mike went on to learn the production aspect of the game from MAW. He edited many of their early releases and was able to witness and learn how these records were put together.
Mike began his production career in the early 90’s releasing The Murder EP on Release for Pleasure, Sunset Park EP on Freeze Records. He then partnered with Matthias Heilbronn as Deep Zone and released many impactful records. One of them being “Live In Unity”. He also released many cult records throughout the years such as Tempo Tantrum Ep with his friend Dirty Harry, S.O.B. EP with Scott Wozniak and The Upstairs Lounge EP on Henry St with the big release, Byrdman’s Revenge.
In the last few years, Mike Delgado has collaborated with Brian Power on a few projects, one of them being a track they started in New York.
Mike Delgado continues to produce and DJ till this day. Almost 40 years and still going.
