ATLAS will gather diverse new information on vulnerable marine ecosystems to gain a better understanding of their connectivity and how they will response to future changes of human use and climate change.
Cold-water corals, sponges, seamounts and mid-ocean ridge ecosystems in the Atlantic Ocean will be targeted.
ATLAS has a strong trans-Atlantic partnership between Europe, Canada and the USA.
