Lakeside Pride Latin Band (LPLB) offers engaging performances of Latinx music from Selena and Marc Antony to Gloria Estefan and Celia Cruz. The band plays a variety of latin genres including salsa, merengue, bolero, latin pop, cumbia, cha cha, mambo and more. Our selection of music is danceable, and full of energy, while our charismatic musicians love to engage with audiences by teaching dance moves, encouraging sing-a-longs, and starting conga lines! LPLB is part of the non-profit 501(c)(3) organization Lakeside Pride Music Ensembles, which provides a welcoming musical environment of inclusion and diversity for LGBT and allied individuals. Lakeside Pride is recognized as the city’s premier LGBTQ instrumental music organization, with several bands and ensembles performing throughout Chicago in over 50 performances annually!
