Its aim is to advance and focus on artistic, high-quality arrangements of classical works, as well as original compositions for this unique genre. Thus, the quartet's debut concert on June 16th 2014, includes the premier performance of Yosef Bardanashvili's Perpetuum Mobile for 2 pianos 8 hands, and Edvard Grieg's two suites from Peer Gynt, the second suite arranged by Bart Berman. The performers of Octopus form a colorful gathering of diverse ages and diverse countries of origin -- Holland, Morocco, Armenia and Israel. They are unified by their love of piano playing, both as soloists and as ensemble members.
