The series was founded in 1974 by Prof Gerard Gillen following the installation of the organ by Rieger of Austria in St Michael's Church, Dún Laoghaire. Concerts take place on Sundays at 8pm during the summer months. Due to Covid restrictions, all events are online until further notice. Dún Laoghaire Summer Organ Concerts is supported by the Arts Council of Ireland/An Chomhairle Ealaíon and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council/Creative Ireland.
