Caroll Vanwelden is a Belgian singer, pianist and composer from Ghent, known for her subtle blend of jazz, chanson and classical influences. Over the years she has released a series of distinctive albums, including Colours, Cheek to Cheek, Don’t Explain, Portraits of Brazil, her trilogy Sings Shakespeare Sonnets 1,2 and 3 and Shakespeare Revisited. With her upcoming album Shakespeare Revisited, she continues her exploration of the dialogue between poetry and music. Across these recordings, Caroll moves from intimate piano–voice settings to richer ensemble arrangements, always keeping storytelling, lyric sensitivity and emotional depth at the centre of her work.
She has been touring and recording all over the world with her different bands and is planning to release a French electro pop album next year.
