• OH MY EYES • A psychedelic dystopian surf band started as a group of songwriters who serendipitously met in the hatchings of a global pandemic, all with a rather unlikely will in their hearts to close their eyes and sing. With a focus on musicality, dynamics, and dizzying stories that unfurl with waves of uncertainty OH MY EYES sees a light in the dark and offers a sound of the times. Members of OH MY EYES were active participants in the BLM protests leading up to the creation of the Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP). We’re staunch advocates for self-organization and leveling social hierarchies. We adamantly reject authoritarianism, white supremacy, heteronormativity, and any system that oppresses our BIPOC, and LGBTQ family. We believe social structures should be cooperative and function from an ethic of mutual aid rather than competition. All of our songs resonate with this point of view and we hope to share this conviction with like-minded comrades.
