In the recent past I have become increasingly fascinated by African cultures, traditions, and heritage. I think part of that that has been due to my extensive travel across Africa and my move to the US which has made me take a look in the mirror and forced me to ask myself hard questions about self identity, culture and ultimately make question where myself worth lies. As I seek to navigate this journey and gather the courage to face the reality I have been unaware of or literally trying to ignore & run away from, I can't help but feel the need to document my journey and hope to build a village where we can have deep conversations about our culture and traditions.
