The renowned scholar, Moulana Syed Abul Hasan Ali An-Nadwi envisioned a learning experience that combined the best of Deen and Dunya – where children would be taught the essentials of Islam, while studying at a regular school.
This dream was realized when Iqra Arabic School was established in Mangalore, shortly before the Moulana passed away. The School which began with only six students, has Alhamdulillah today, blossomed into a full-fledged institute, with more than 600 students enrolled in various courses at different levels.
The school provides a conducive environment for students to learn and practice their Islam – as they strive for excellence in their regular school disciplines such as languages, Math and sciences. While the Ulama mentor students in the Qur’an and Sunnah, specialist teachers and educators focus on their formal education.
