Shields’ ‘Mezzanine’ was chosen by iTunes and Spotify as ‘single of the week’ and was described as “a big clomping synth spectacular that’s reminiscent of a sunnier Everything Everything” (Michael Cragg, The Guardian). Working with double-Grammy award-winning producer Adrian Bushby to complete their debut album ‘How Can We Fix This? to widespread critical acclaim, The Guardian’s Paul Lester has tipped it to be remembered as debut album of 2016, offering the following assessment: “[S]o full of murderously infectious, polished pop, it will make you wonder why they didn’t feature in any of the recent ones-to-watch polls… The whole album plays like one long (musical, existential) affirmation.”
