Situated on the western side of the River Bann, this parish takes in Dunboe (Castlerock), Coleraine, Macosquin and Aghadowey. The main church of the parish is in Coleraine, but there are also churches in Dunboe and Aghadowey. The historic name of ‘Dunboe, Macosquin and Aghadowey’ does not include ‘Coleraine’ because the parish predates by centuries the foundation of the modern town of Coleraine during the Plantation of the early 1600s.
