Dr Digant Pathak is a renowned surgeon working presently in Jabalpur Hospital and Research Centre in Jabalpur. He is the only surgeon in city performing high end laparoscopic and conventional open surgeries both with fantastic results. He did his undergaduation from SSMC Rewa followed by his Masters in General Surgery from Jaipur- Sawai Mansingh Medical College. He later worked with one of the stalwarts of laparoscopic surgeries- Dr. Om Tantia. He did his fellowship in Surgical Gastroenterology from Rajiv Gandhi Health University, Government of Karnataka. Dr. Kenneth D’ cruz and Dr. Vikram Belliappa were his teachers. He was a gold medalist in FMAS exams, an all India level exams for fellowship in minimal invasive surgery. He worked with some of the pioneers of gastro-intestinal surgery in India and had extensive training in advanced abdominal surgeries like liver resections, pancreatic surgeries, esophageal surgeries, colo-rectal surgeries and surgeries for portal hypertension.
