swelt thrive in the tension between restraint and release. Based between Bristol and London, the four-piece channels ’70s folk, slowcore and first-wave post-rock influences into sparse, melancholic arrangements. Their debut EP, Red Mountain, arrived on 28 October 2022 via Candlepin Records, followed by Ready the Moon on 18 October 2024. In January 2026, swelt released their new single, Fool, heralding the start of a new chapter for the band. swelt have received airplay from BBC Introducing and John Kennedy on Radio X, as well as support from Clunk Magazine, Hard of Hearing, For the Rabbits, The Most Radicalist and ORM.
