The rock band "Camshaft" was formed in Cambridge in March 2025. Their musical style is classic heavy metal. The name "Camshaft" was suggested by lead singer Yarik and is consonant with the name of the city of Cambridge. The band includes musicians who had previously participated in other musical projects. Their first rehearsal space was Rinocom Studio in Cambridge. On September 13th, the first video for the song "Glitches" was filmed. Luke Ford - drummer and bandleader of "Camshaft". Yarik Lutsen - lead singer of "Camshaft" (growl falsetto), lyricist, videographer, and audio editor. Ivan Utkin - guitarist for "Camshaft". He works in sound editing, writes riffs, and plays all lead guitar parts. Clarkson is the guitarist for "Camshaft". Repertoire - two AC/DC covers and original songs: "Glitches", "Night Cambridge", "Cantabrigian", "Metal Cross", "Pilgrim", "My Sun" and "Heaven Guards". Since the beginning of 2026, the group began working on recording a full-length studio album.
