Vāhaka is a Progressive Rock band from New Delhi, India. Formed in 2013 by school-mates Ananth (Guitars), Ashvin (Guitars), and Karthik (Vocals), the band was originally called The Iyer Project. In 2020, they rebranded themselves to a name that they can relate better to. Hence, Vāhaka was born. Vāhaka means a bearer or carrier in Sanskrit and in many other regional Indian languages. The name signifies how the band has literally carried its members through great times and hardships alike. The band includes Vishwam (Drums) and Himangshu (Bass). The band has performed across all major venues in Delhi NCR and some reputed music festivals such as Surganga Festival in Varanasi and Catamaran Beach Festival in Pondicherry. They have multiple radio and National Television features including a live half-time show during the Indian Premier League in 2018 in front of the Red Fort. Their debut album titled "The Epiphany of Being Sane" was released in 2018 and received great reviews. #Vahaka
