Math-U-See is a student-paced, mastery-based curriculum that is suitable for students with a wide range of abilities, from gifted to those with special needs. Teachers are provided the tools and training needed to present an explicit, structured, systematic, and cumulative program using multi-sensory teaching techniques. Because this curriculum does not correspond to traditional grade levels but rather to math ability, levels can be used with students of any age. Since 2004, Math-U-See has been working with intervention and special education teachers to reach students with special needs who are struggling in math. These students have shown tremendous improvements and are closing the achievement gap. Math-U-See's unique approach targets each individual student and focuses on their needs.
