Hello, I'm Jen. I'm an acclaimed Children's Author, and a mixed media artist. On this channel, I chat about living a ramshackle, creative life in the country and maintaining a sustainable creative career. It’s a channel about nothing. And everything! In my late 50s, when my kids left home and I was reassessing my writing career, I ran away to the country (with my beloved). Once here, we bought a tired little house (that literally had holes in it) and I got stuck into my art practice. We fixed up the house and christened her Elsie. I also planted a rambling cottage garden, and threw myself into living a creative, community-focused life. No matter what your age or stage of life, I'm thrilled to welcome you to girlandduck!
