Welcome to the English & Communication Department at Miami Dade College, Wolfson Campus! We provide MDC students with the curriculum and academic support needed to create a foundation for any academic pathway at the college. Our goal is to guide students to the highest level of achievement in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, emphasizing critical thinking, rigorous content, and emerging technologies. Our department offers in-person and online blended classes and focused study in English Education, English Literature, Mass Communication, and Journalism. Our department runs the Reading & Writing Center located at the Learning SPOT. The RWC offers one-on-one tutoring and group workshops to all currently enrolled MDC students.
