This hood let me forget my shame,pain, and guilt. At a time when, holding onto it would've killed me. When I was feeling so low. I had nowhere to go, and no one to turn too. Hastings street was there to comfort me. Hastings street loved and accepted me. I'm alive today because the street became my mother. I love the downtown east side. I love the people that live here. I wouldn't change my past. I wouldn't change my beautiful friends. I want this channel to help make everyone love this beautiful neighborhood and the people, as much as I do.
