SOS Silence of Suicide are a registered mental wellbeing charity working to eradicate the shame, stigma and silence around mental health and suicide. We support children, young people and adults via phoneline, in person and online Founded in 2015 by Yvette & Michael Mansfield, due to personal losses to suicide, we wanted to be part of the bigger conversation to encourage open, safe communication for the vulnerable and bereaved. We have supported Government departments, universities, schools, retailers, sporting bodies and many more. Our tragic lived experiences found a positive outlet - to create compassionate and safe services to support as many people as possible. With over 700,000 suicides globally each year (WHO), there is a good deal of work to be done and we start each day with the same passion and persistence as when we started in 2015.
