Born in Italy, Alberto Ferro won many prizes in international competitions, including: 1º Prize at the Beethoven Competition in Bonn; 2º Prize at the Busoni Competition in Bolzano; 2º Prize at the Jaén Competition; 6º Prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels; Finalist Prize at the Arthur Rubinstein Competition in Tel Aviv. He has performed many concerts throughout Europe: Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Sala Verdi in Milan, LAC in Lugano, Herkulessaal in Munich, Bronfman Auditorium in Tel Aviv, Philharmonic Hall in Liège, Concertgebouw in Bruges, BOZAR in Brussels, Philharmonie in Luxembourg, Gewandhaus in Leipzig, Beethoven Haus in Bonn. He performed with several orchestras such as the Beethoven Orchester Bonn, the Orchestra Filarmonica della Fenice, the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, the National Orchestra of Belgium, under great conductors such as Paul Meyer, Thierry Fischer, Marin Alsop and Christian Zacharias. He currently teaches at the "F. Vittadini" Conservatory in Pavia.
