Black Privilege is a nonprofit on a mission to connect & educate the black community through economic gardening and sustainable technological platforms. Black owned businesses are the greatest private employer of black people-- but they currently receive only 2% of the $1 trillion of black buying power. This means that 98% of that $1 trillion is spent on non-black businesses-- which seldom invest in or hire from the black community. If black consumers spent merely 10% more of their income with black businesses, it would generate nearly two million jobs for African Americans. The foundation of Black Privilege is our innovative mobile app technology. This platform will connect black owned businesses directly to the black community while creating an environment for users to exchange knowledge, ideas and job opportunities.
