Not Petty is a Tom Petty Tribute Act based in Illinois performing ~150 shows a year around IL, the Midwest, and beyond. They cover Tom Petty's vast catalog with a simplified approach to showcase the brilliant songwriting that fueled one of the greatest American rock bands of all time. While Not Petty's set up is stripped down, the energy and passion of a live Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers show is left intact. In October of 2021, the duo set out to bring Petty's music to places that full tribute bands can't, and some they can, so that everyone can experience Petty's music live and come together to share their love and memories of this American icon. With 4 years and over 600 shows in the rearview, as of this writing (12/1/25), Not Petty is by far the most active Tom Petty Tribute Band in the United States.
