Departure are all about the catchy and beautiful pop melodies. Sources of inspiration are bands like Jimmy Eat World, The Killers and Your Vegas. The band's first ever release "Half / Split" was playlisted on Norwegian radio NRK P3 in late October 2010. Their follow up release "Gravity" was listed on the same channel at the beginning of March 2011. The third song from Departure, "We Just Got Carried Away" was listed on radio in the spring of 2012, and this song was also made the official Tour de France song for Norwegian TV-channel TV2. Departure will be releasing their debut album in early 2013. - We fell head over heels for Departure and the single Half / split.
