AKM was founded in 1929 for the welfare of the Ao community. It served as a torchbearer during difficult and formative years, playing a vital role in reforming both the community and the district. To this day, it stands as a testament to great resilience and remains one of the strongest student organizations in Nagaland. Through its various student-centric initiatives and community welfare activities, AKM continues to contribute meaningfully to society.
