In 2002 arguably the greatest supergroup in rock history was formed out of the ashes of Guns N' Roses and Stone Temple Pilots, when Scott Weiland joined forces with Slash, Duff, Matt Sorum and Dave Kushner to form Velvet Revolver. What followed was 6 manic years of sell out high energy world tours, critically acclaimed multi-million selling albums, and headline grabbing rock & roll excess. They burnt bright but emploded far too quickly.
