The Russi Hive is where creative lives think out loud—a space where interior worlds are given time to surface, rearrange themselves, and answer back.
Hosted by Alejandra Russi and filmed in Ricco/Maresca Gallery in New York City, the Hive grows out of a place that has spent decades arguing that hierarchies are fiction. Fine art/vernacular, intuition/mastery, canon/fringe: here they share the same air, and the conversations breathe it in.
Each episode builds a different kind of shelter. Sometimes it’s a clear, load-bearing structure—measured questions, careful answers. Sometimes it’s more like scaffolding or a stairway to nowhere.
This is not an “art gallery podcast.” It’s for those interested in the unseen mechanics of creativity: the inner weather reports, the invented languages, the way an idea arrives at the wrong time and still changes everything.
Full episodes every other Thursday. Stray transmissions in between.
