Stewart Campbell is a multi-disciplinary performer and creative practitioner working across voice, live performance, photography, film and audio production.
The a recipient of the BBC Norman Beaton Fellowship and has performed in numerous radio dramas for BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Radio 4.
Stewart is also an experienced photographer and filmmaker, with nearly a decade of work documenting music, culture, protest and everyday life in Glasgow. His visual work is people-led and unobtrusive, focusing on moments of honesty, connection and vulnerability rather than spectacle. He is interested in what happens when people feel comfortable enough to be themselves, and how that trust shapes the work that emerges.
Stewart often works in a deliberately unobtrusive way, creating space for others while quietly supporting and uplifting the process. He believes the strongest performances, photographs and collaborations come from presence rather than control, and from care rather than direction.
