DT Jacobs is an Americana style singer/songwriter from Massachusetts who chose what he thought was the safer path in life by working a regular job instead of pursuing the riskier occupation of a music career. When the economy crashed in 2008, he lost nearly everything he had worked over 20 years for. He rose from the ashes with a new resolve and a whole lot to talk about in his songs. His lyrics have a tremendous amount of emotional depth and are not for the "rose-colored glasses" crowd. He released his first album, "Blue Collar Tested" in 2021. He followed that up in 2024 with his sophomore album "Never Alone." He left the labor force in 2024 after over 35 years as a blue collar worker. He splits time between Massachusetts and Nashville and lives mostly out of a cargo van that he converted into a campervan as he pursues the music career he put off for more than three decades.
