After completing a Bachelor of Arts majoring in history and archaeology at the Australian National University, I spent several years working as a field-hand in Australia for an archaeology consultancy. During this time I began experimenting with film and making DVDs of our archaeological work to accompany our reports to stakeholders. Intrigued by the potentials of this medium, I then completed a Masters of Film and Television specialising in documentary filmmaking at the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne University. My graduating film, The Woods (2014), was screened at Sheffield Doc/Fest, St Tropez International Film Festival, and Palm Springs International Film Festival. I am now combining documentary filmmaking with archaeological research and practice, as part of my PhD research at the University of Southampton.
