About Imam Ali Center Imam Ali center is a non-profit independent religious center. Imam Ali center believes in a more compassionate and just society by providing a platform for the true picture of Shia Islam. It is established to serve the residents of Los Angeles and nearby communities. IAC exists to further the religion of Islam as taught by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) and the Ahlulbayt (as) in accordance with the Shia Ithna Ashari School of Thought and to bring about a social movement to hasten the return of the Awaited Saviour, Imam Al-Mahdi (atf). Imam Ali center serves the spiritual, religious, and communal needs of the local Shia Muslim community by means of nurturing their faith, upholding their values, and fostering the well-being of the surrounding community through worship, education, outreach, charitable and civic engagement. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive and welcoming center, rooted in the rich multi-cultural tapestry of Los Angeles.
