Living in Berlin, Germany but born and raised in London, Reema says her self-penned achingly sad folk-inspired songs are her way of communicating and have been since she started writing them at the age of seven. Just little twinkles of guitar and her voice guide us through stories about love, loss, friendship, life and ghosts.
All the colourful stage clothes and album artwork are handmade by Reema herself and feature her drawings and paintings of paisley covered animals and people.
During the last years Reema has written songs featured on recent movie, 'Love Rosie' and on the European soundtrack of 'Twilight Eclipse'. Her first release 'The Lowswing Sessions', a live, analogue and 100% computer free vinyl collaboration with Guy Sternberg was met with great reactions. She is now working on her next album with producer Ethan Johns (Laura Marling/Ryan Adams)- all live and to tape performances played and performed by herself and Ethan.
