For the majority of her childhood in San Francisco, Jocelyn Enriquez had the opportunity to flex her vocal talents. From her early adolescent years performing with the San Francisco Girls Chorus and the San Francisco Opera Company later on, her stage experience eventually won her a recording contract with Classified Records by the time she turned 16. Her debut Lovely hit the streets in 1994, prompting Tommy Boy Records to take notice and release Enriquez's follow-up, conveniently titled Jocelyn three years later. Her first single "Do You Miss Me" hit the R&B and dance charts in 1997, and Enriquez earned the opportunity to tour with such acts as The Fugees, LL Cool J, Brandy, Mase, and Dru Hill. The second single from her sophomore album “A Little Bit of Ecstasy” was released to critical acclaim as well as the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot Dance Music chart. The song was re-introduced to a new generation in 2026 through a sample on electronic artist Cloonee’s single “XTC.”
