This project focuses on cinema's nature as a mixture of arts and media in order to produce the first, ground-breaking intermedial history of Brazilian cinema. It will also explore the uses of intermediality as a historiographic method applicable to cinema as a whole. Funded by the Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), this is a collaborative project led by academics at the University of Reading and Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar).
Here you will find a video and audio archive of our investigations into intermediality and Brazilian Cinema, including Workshops, Conferences and Interviews.
