TanzNetzDresden is a self-organizing network of the independent dance scene in Dresden. Formed by freelance dancers and choreographers, it actively contributes to the art and cultural scene within the city of Dresden and the surrounding area. In 2020, in the tenth year of TanzNetzDresden's existence, it was spun off as a non-profit association in order to be able to work even better and more effectively within the dance scene in the future. In September and November 2021, TanzNetzDresden organized a supra-regional symposium as well as a series of workshops under the title "WORKING COMMUNITIES". For 2022, the continuation of successful formats such as the POP UP, Studio Round and also the Artist Round is planned. In addition, there will always be spontaneous collaborations, presentations and events that focus on the contemporary dance scene in all its facets. Locally, regionally and also supra-regionally.
