Two Crows Joy is a duo from the north Oregon coast. Russell James Hosley plays guitar and mandolin and has been writing music for nearly 30 years. Jane Dunkin plays fiddle, guitar, light percussion, and occasionally mandolin and banjo. Their debut album, Hope & Truth & Dare, also features Dave Gager on drums, Karen Purdom on bass, and Larry Schaeffer on piano. Hope & Truth & Dare has a little of everything from the rockin' riffs of Angelina and Another Minute to the Celtic influenced sound of Eerily and Blue to the Country ballad that is 500 Miles: It's just great Americana.
They perform Russ's original compositions as well as favorite cover songs from greats like Buddy & Julie Miller, Chris Knight, Steve Earle, Gillian Welch and Allison Krauss. The duo is currently assembling a full band for CD release concerts and future recordings.
