NSBE Boston was founded 1988, after the NSBE 14th Annual Conference, where the organization approved the adoption of the NSBE Alumni Extension (NSBE-AE) now renamed NSBE Boston Professionals. This addition to the overall NSBE structure not only promoted the participation and the input from the professional engineering community, but also provided a mechanism for NSBE graduating seniors to continue their involvement with the organization. Since its inception, NSBE Boston Professionals has developed annual programs, which support the Black and professional communities in the Boston metropolitan area. The goals of the organization are to promote technical expertise, professionalism, and fellowship amongst studying and practicing STEM professionals. At NSBE Boston Professionals, one can hone professional skills while making a significant social contribution. Our programming include: - Annual INSPIRE STEM Gala - Annual Summer Sizzler - Youth STEM Initiatives - College Initiatives
