Sara Nuytemans' art work is largely based on the observation of how human beings interact with the world. Why are we here? What is our role as human beings? These are the fundamental questions of her research.
As a Belgian born artist based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, She has experienced humans to be essentially similar in the way we handle these questions and are impressed by our mind's intrinsic duality in it's ability to represent physical or conceptual dilemmas.
Sara Nuytemans (b. 1970, Belgium) is visual artist. She has a master in Industrial Design Engineering of the Technical University in Delft and a master in Digital Arts of the Audiovisual Institute of the Universidad Pompeu Fabra Barcelona. Now she lives and works in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Her work is a combination of audio visual strategies, kinetic installations and performances. She explores the boundary between the real and the artificial. Her work is often technically challenging.
